How to: View messages received (incoming) in Microsoft Mail in Exchange.
Solution:
In the 'Control Panel' window, double-click the 'Mail and Fax' icon. Click 'Show Profiles...' and select the appropriate profile. Click 'Properties', click 'Add...', and select 'Microsoft Mail'. Click 'OK'.
NOTE: Microsoft Exchange must first be installed from the original Windows 95 installation diskettes or CD-ROM.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click the 'Mail and Fax' icon. (The '<profile> Properties' dialog box appears, where <profile> is the user profile name .)

4) Click 'Show Profiles...'. (The 'Microsoft Exchange Profiles' dialog box appears.)
5) Select the profile for which 'Microsoft Mail' is to be used from the 'When starting Microsoft Exchange, use this profile' drop-down list.
6) Click 'Properties'.
7) Click the 'Services' tab.
8) Click 'Add...'. (The 'Add Service to Profile' dialog box appears.)
9) In the 'Available information services' list box, select 'Microsoft Mail'. (Microsoft Mail is highlighted.)

10) Click 'OK'. (The 'Microsoft Mail' dialog box appears.)
11) In the 'Enter the path to your postoffice' box, type the mailbox path in the following format:
\\<server>\<directory>
(where <server> is the name of the mail server and <directory> is the appropriate mail directory).
12) In the 'Select how this service should connect at startup' group do one of the following:
a) Select the 'Automatically sense LAN or Remote' radio button.
b) If you connect directly to the network, select the 'Local area network (LAN)' radio button.
c) To dial up to the mail server, select the 'Remote using a modem and Dial-up Networking' radio button.
d) If you do not want to connect to your post office, select 'Offline'.
13) Click 'OK' to close the 'Microsoft Mail' dialog box. (The 'Add Service to Profile' dialog box appears.)
14) Click 'OK' and click 'OK' again.
15) Click 'Close'.
16) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Control Panel' window.
17) If Microsoft Exchange is open, select the 'File' menu and select 'Exit and Log off' to close Microsoft Exchange.
18) (Optional) Double-click the 'Inbox' icon on the Windows 95 desktop to reopen Microsoft Exchange.
